Longline tees are essentially tunic-style t-shirts. They are intended to look extra long on the body.
Oversized tees are larger overall. They have a roomier fit overall plus extra length, and often have an urban, streetwear look. A great example of oversized tees is the collection of shirts from Shaka Wear.
Tall tees were created with tall people in mind to accommodate for their longer torsos. Tall tees are intended to look like standard tees when worn by tall people.

Because shrinkage is often a huge issue with cotton-heavy garments, tall and longline tees can be an excellent solution for those who normally wear standard tees, but do not want to worry about laundry best practices to prevent any shrinking. We regularly hear that a shirt fit perfectly before it was washed and dried for the first time, but then disappointingly shrunk. In this scenario, sizing up does not always solve the issue because cotton shirts typically shrink up more than anything. So a cotton shirt might still fit after shrinking, but turn into a crop top.
With this approach of sizing up with a tall tee, you can wash and dry using heat, and any shrinkage will remain proportional to the shirt. Yes, the shirt will be smaller overall, but the shirt will still feel longer than an average cotton t-shirt.
