Embroidery looks best and is easiest to accomplish on fabrics that do not have a lot of stretch. We do not recommend embroidering on athletic fabrics like 100% polyester, heavy poly blends, and materials like spandex and rayon. The design will not stretch properly with the fabric and is not ideal as an easy surface to stitch into.

You can definitely embroider on t-shirts, either by hand or using a digitizing machine. We do recommend choosing a heavier weighted t-shirt for best results, and many pro-embroiderers will say the same, but that’s not to say you can’t embroider a lighter weight too!
