By ShirtSpace | May 23, 2024 |  Updated May 23, 2024

Finding the right size when shopping online isn’t always easy, but by diving into this Next Level apparel size guide, you can ensure the right fit for you! In this article, we will discuss the Next Level apparel sizing chart in more detail, making it easy to order Next Level clothing without any hesitation about whether the items will fit appropriately or not. We will also lead you in the right direction of where you can view or download the Next Level clothing size chart for quick and easy access for future orders.

Understanding Next Level Sizing Charts

Next Level apparel sizing is often described as standard and true-to-size. However, it’s always helpful to have exact measurements available to really get an idea if a garment is the right size for you. Luckily, there is a Next Level size chart available from the brand, helping to ensure accuracy when consulted before ordering.

Next Level has inclusive sizing, with some adult styles including options ranging from XS to 6XL, and are measured in inches. Kids’ styles are available in XS-XL, but are not measured in inches. This means that you will have a less precise idea of what size to order for your child. However, sizing is more forgiving for children. We also recommend sizing up for kids, since they can “grow into” a larger size and get more use of the piece of clothing.

How to Measure for Next Level Clothing Sizes

So, with all of this ambiguous sizing information, how are you supposed to navigate sizing when buying Next Level apparel online? Lucky for us, the Next Level apparel size chart is available as a downloadable PDF, for easy access anytime you are ready to shop Next Level. But that’s not all. Next Level also provides a Sizing Specification sheet that helps you gather your measurements. It’s as simple as taking your t-shirt measurements and comparing them to the measurements listed on the Next Level shirt size chart to get an idea of the best size for you.

Extended Sizing Info

Inclusive sizing means that those needing sizes up to 6XL can still get in on some Next Level apparel enjoyment. Unfortunately, the PDF provided by Next Level only goes up to 4XL. ShirtSpace to the rescue! We have taken the measurements ourselves, to provide our customers who were extended sizing the resources they need to shop for plus size clothing confidently.

Most colors are available through 3XL, but then color selection tends to slim down as the size increases. Here is a quick cheat sheet for styles and colors available in sizes 4XL and up, where the color selection is more limited:

  • Next Level 3600 Unisex Cotton T-Shirt

    • Select colors—“natural,” “kelly green,” “indigo,” “cool blue,” “turquoise,” “cardinal,” “light gray” and “oxblood”—are available up to 4XL.

    • Select colors—“red,” “royal,” “midnight navy,” “black,” “white,” “heavy metal” and “heather gray”—are available up to 6XL.

  • Next Level N6210 Unisex CVC Crewneck T-Shirt

    • Select colors—“orange,” “kelly green,” “indigo,” “purple rush,” “cardinal” and “military green”—are available up to 4XL.

    • Select colors—“midnight navy,” “royal,” “red,” “black,” “white,” “dark heather gray,” “charcoal”—are available up to 6XL.

  • Next Level 3602 Men's Cotton Long Body Crew

    • Available up to 4XL for all 6 colors (“royal,” “red,” “black,” “white,” “heather gray,” “heavy metal”), but also oversized in length.

  • Between Sizes?

If your measurements fall between sizes, we always recommend sizing up because it’s easier to purposely shrink a hoodie or t-shirt to the size you desire than it is to stretch one out. The risk is higher with ordering too small.

  • Worried About Shrinkage?

We also recommend sizing up for 100% cotton garments unless you plan on being completely diligent about washing and drying, using no heat to prevent shrinkage. Otherwise, sizing up to accommodate the likely shrinkage is usually the best choice.

  • Differences between Men’s, Women’s and Unisex Sizing

Although most Next Level apparel is created with standard sizing, some styles might run intentionally a bit small or a bit large due to the cut.

  • Unisex clothes may feel like they run a size or two large to women who are used to women’s sizing.

  • Men might find unisex sizing to feel a bit smaller than they are used to when compared to apparel available in men’s sizing.

  • Women may feel that ladies’ styles, especially fitted styles, run much smaller than unisex and men’s styles. Fortunately, Next Level was thorough enough to include information for women’s fitted styles in the size chart.

This is where the “UNISEX FIT” section at the bottom of the Next Level apparel size chart is especially useful. It helps you get an idea of what a Next Level unisex size might feel like to you compared to a gendered size.

  • Style Matters

  • Take, for instance, the Next Level 5083 Ladies’ Festival Cropped Tank. Due to its more fitted look and shorter length than many other cropped styles from Next Level, one might think that it runs a bit small.

  • In the same vein, a looser and more drapey style, like the Next Level 6760 Ladies’ Triblend Dolman shirt, may feel like it runs large. This is why Next Level was smart enough to include specific measurements for Dolman/Flowy styles in the size guide.

  • Relaxed fit t-shirts also have their own measurements that differ from standard, fitted and drapey tees. Consult the Next Level apparel size guide for further info.

  • Many Next Level styles have a retail-worthy, very fashionable quality. This often includes silhouette-hugging size seams and shorter sleeves than some more classic-fitting tees. This is sometimes referred to as “retail fit” or “trim fit.”

  • Stick to T-Shirts and Sweatshirts for an Intentionally Oversized Look

Next Level offers a wide variety of blank apparel items. To achieve the popular oversized look, you can always size up however many sizes you see fit. The larger you go, the baggier and looser the fit.

We do not recommend sizing up too much with pants or tank tops. Too large of pants might be too loose around the waistline to cinch properly, or the legs might be too long. An oversized tank top might not give the coverage you desire.

  • Pay Attention to the Length of Cropped Styles

Cropped styles can be tricky. Crop top lovers have likely experienced the scenario where the top fits perfectly – except when it comes to the length. It’s best to size up with these styles when in question, since you can crop a t-shirt or sweatshirt yourself if it’s too long and has a raw edge.
